What to do if someone is unresponsive?

Make sure the scene is safe.

Shake the person and see if they talk to you or move. Check to see if they are breathing. Check to see if they have a pulse.

If they are unresponsive, call 911 and get an adult to help. Get the AED if there is one close by!

Start CPR right away or have an adult start CPR.

Continue CPR until the ambulance arrives or the person begins to wake up.
